The Walter 'Bot's Bedroom for
fabulae_victoriana
[OOC: A thread for all bedroom happenings and private threads for the boys and their friends/family, just to keep from royally spamming up the main comm as we already do so very well.
A semi-brief description of the room from Meygan's mind, castmates, hit me if you think otherwise:
One of the larger bedrooms in the house (considering it currently is containing five full-grown automatons and a normal human and an assortment of instruments and the like), with a large window at the back. The walls were covered in The Jon's special brand of artwork, doodles of the world in the way that he saw it, colorful swirls and unidentifiable shapes and other oddities that looked like they came straight out of his music. Looking at these artistic murals for too long tends to make visitors go just a little crazy, seeing and hearing things that weren't actually there, so it is generally advised to never stay too long! His brothers are either immune or just don't even notice the crazy anymore. Likely the second.
The floor, despite The Spine's best effort, is usually quite dirty, boots and socks and clothes and gloves and hats and hula hoops and just about everything else littered around the place. If one The Jon was messy, two was just complete chaos. There was just no taming that mess.
Currently, the six inhabitants of the room share, two ye olde Victorian-style bunk beds. The Spine and Rabbit take one, while Hatchy, the two The Jons, and Michael take the other. Hatchworth has the bottom, which leaves Michael squished between both Jons on the top bunk. No doubt they tumble headfirst out of that precarious sleeping space quite often. Luckily for The Jons', they have thick brassy heads and likely won't even awaken from the fall.
Considering they are doing their damned best to keep up with busking and their father is on the hunt to find them real venues to perform, their musical instrument selection no doubt takes up a very large amount of the free space available there.
I think I'll try to update a list inside of this thread to keep up with what they've actually managed to acquire. Nice to keep an inventory on these things!
AS FOR NOW, use this thread as you see fit. Throw whatever and whomever you like in.

Rabbit & Alyss
Really, Rabbit Walter, you need to let yourself rest more.
But as it was still so early, the 'bot slipped as quietly from the room of his sleeping automaton brethren as best as he could, deciding a nice walk to the duck pond would be a good way to spend his morning. First, a stop in the kitchen to refill his boiler!
Re: Rabbit & Alyss
She had pulled herself a stool up to the kitchen counter some hour ago, or so, and gotten a loaf of breed there with her. A plate had been taken down, along with a few jars of jam she'd kept tucked away in her room for this little ritual of her's; a sort of toast feast, as it were.
So there Alyss sat, munching a piece already while watching the toaster, still in her nightgown and a pair of slippers rested on the floor.
no subject
Quiet as he tried to be in his approach, the clanking and creaking and whirrrring and hissing of his aged machinery and strange body would no doubt give Rabbit's arrival away before he could get through the kitchen entranceway, coming to stand beside the woman with a grin, copper hand moving to brush her arm in greeting. "M-m-mornin', beautifuuull-"
Of course, then there was the toaster and the toast and the jam.
Ohmy.
"Heh, w-w-wwh-whatcha' doin' out here so early?"
no subject
Her head tilted, licking a bit of jam away from her thumb, "Making toast, like I do most every other morning around this time. It's a marverlous way to start the day, and the toaster is just as marvelous, you know?"
Rabbit, what is your girlfriend. Seriously.
no subject
What is your life, Rabbit. How does this even happen.
"T-ttt-t-t-toast." Well, there went that morning steadiness right out the window, the bot's free hand twitching wildly, as he intently watched her lick that jam away off of her thumb. Dear Robot God, was it getting hot in here or was that just his boiler bubbling a little too excitedly? "Y-y-ya-ya like t-toast, huh? I didn't even... have a clue."
no subject
Alyss nodded, "I do like toast, yes. Freshly toasted by itself, smeared with jam, topped with a little marmalade, or with some sliced fruit and that peanut butter substance," she had experimented many a morning with what went well with toast. Her favorite was always plain toast, of course, but sometimes she needed a little extra sweetness for her mornings.
She paused, attention back on the toaster as she plucked the freshly toasted bread from it with a hum. Yes, perfect toasting. She'd gotten better at reaching this state of toast.
no subject
Each word that spilled from Alyss' mouth had the copper 'bot in more and more of a trance as he stood there beside the seemingly young woman, fingers curled around her arm gently, optics bright and unfocused, the only sound from him the bubbling and churning of a boiler working in doubletime and the eventual hiss of steam that accompanied in it.
This had to be robot Heaven.
Finally the toast was popping up, fresh and crisp and smelling like, well, toast, and Rabbit snapped out of his own head to watch the woman as she worked. If only his family could see him now.
"T-toast is one'a my f-favorite foods. Toasters are just... real beautiful machines." Delicately said, Rabbit was kind of inching forward with this cause right now his clockwork mind was kind of blown. "Lovely."
no subject
"Toast has quickly become one of my favorite foods, so simple and yet it's terribly delicious." Don't mind Alyss as she plucks another slive of bread and places it in the toaster, turning it on to begin its toasting. She has indeed done this many mornings, and has come to enjoy it, "A nice crispness on the outside, and a pillowy warmth between those two layers."
This girl was serious about her toast.
no subject
Instead, Alyss' playfulness rubbed off on the robot in a very bad way, finger tips stroking up her arm as she in turn was fondling that toaster's sleek surface, his movements eventually reaching up to her shoulder, where the 'bot brushed some of that lovely hair of hers aside so he could swoop in and press a kiss to her neck. Hey, if she was going to be teasing him like that, Rabbit at least wanted to return the favor. "Never knew a l-lady that gave toast so much thought."
And certainly, Alyss had never looked quite as attractive to him as she did now.
Fingertips swept across the placed kiss on her neck before Rabbit was moving to stand beside her, knees bent and bumping against hers as he leaned on the counter facing her, snatching up the newly toasted bread to hold out and offer.
no subject
Tasty, tasty toast.
There was a twitch to her lips at the offer, leaning forwards just enough to take a bite out of that lovely fresh piece of toast. The way it crunched, the heat from the softness inside, earned a rather pleased sound from her as well. Sometimes there was simply nothing better than plain, fresh, toast
no subject
As if those delicate fingertips dancing across his jaw weren't enough, Alyss just had to make that sound as she took a bite of the fresh, crisp bread, Rabbit's vocalizer letting out just the tiniest high-pitched whine at that, akin to the noises the 'bot usually made during intense face-petting sessions, his fingers twitching at his side before he couldn't very well help himself.
No, Rabbit had never met a lady like Alyss before, not in a hundred years, and he was most certainly not wasting the opportunity of keeping her close to him and in his life.
"Thinkin' 'b-bout toast too?" A twist to his mouth. "Shore r-right 'bout that. Yer one o' a kind. S-so pretty, ya l-look like yer glowin'..."
Toast still in one hand, the automaton let his other hand move to the woman's shoulder as he closed a bit of the distance between them, delicately tracing along her pale skin, over her neck, down to her collarbone, simply touching and exploring that soft skin of hers that felt so nice under his touch, gloved fingers or not.
no subject
Still, she adored those little sounds Rabbit made, the corner of his mouth quirking as she leaned closer to allow him to touch. He was also so gentle, and she couldn't help reaching out and brushing her thumb against his cheek.
Of course she took another bite of toast while she was at it.
no subject
And really, with that second bite and that sweet touch to his face (and goddamn that lick), not to mention his own drifting hands, Rabbit barely could help his voice box from whining out again, though his smile was wide and content no matter how his body reacted, steam hissing from his vents.
"Y-ya must be an angel or somethin'."
Oh, Rabbit.
no subject
Hands rested against Rabbit's chest, fingers curled into the fabric of his clothing after smoothing out a few creases, "Yet if I'm anything close to an angel, I wonder.." She hadn't leaned back, toast forgotten for a moment as she looked intently upon the automaton's face.
"Does that make you the lucky adventuror?"
no subject
He was happy to leave the toast behind for a moment.
"Ya sayin' yer all mine t' explore an' conquer?"
no subject
"That does sound about right," and oh those implications. Fingers roaving from his chest as hands moved along Rabbit's neck, fingers resting just below vents.
no subject
Those implications were most certainly not lost on the automaton, who was quick to draw the woman closer to steal her lips away in a slightly more heated than normal kiss between them, the copper fingers against her neck stroking idly while Rabbit enjoyed their closeness, his free hand brushing her arm up and down.
Yes, that toast was briefly forgotten in the moment.
And when that steamy (Rabbit's fault) kiss finally broke apart, Rabbit barely an inch away, mumbled in as quiet a voice as was possible for him. "I l-like th' sound o' that. All m-mine."
no subject
Her arms moved over his shoulder's easily enough, fingertips pressed against the backs of them and curled into fabric with a press against the metal underneath. Head having tilted just so for that kiss, and oh was that toast forgotten for something better.
Oh that smile that curved into place, nose bumping against his, "All yours."
no subject
All his. His girlfriend. His lady. His love. How long had it been since Rabbit had something significant and all to his own like this? Relationships had always been shaky and full of doubt for the robots, but Alyss made it all easy. Too easy, he thought sometimes. But his inhumanness meant nothing to her. He was just as much a man and individual as his father was.
…This was not exactly what Rabbit had been expecting to have happen when he'd rolled out of bed this morning, thinking a nice walk to the duck pond would end up being his most exciting thing on his agenda.
Boy, was he wrong.
At her urging, Rabbit swooped in for another kiss, slower this time, gloved fingers still dancing across her skin, nowhere they shouldn't be (not in public), but really, with the way she seemed to be enjoying herself and the way his heated up boiler was making him feel, who knew how much longer that would last. And at least he could recognize that.
Another brush of his lips on hers, purposely puffing a steamy breath at her nose, fingers on her cheek. "H-h-hey, Alice?"
no subject
The steam brought an amused sort of sound, a little scrunching of her nose, eyes opened to meet Rabbit's with her head tilted against the fingers on her cheek. She brushed a few fingertips along his neck, trailing the metal lightly.
"Yes, Rabbit?"
no subject
"Just, I mean, did'ya w-wanna stay down here an' finish yer breakfast or-" The fingers behind her neck twitched nervously, shoulders shuddering at both the tension and that lovely feel of her fingers against his neck. "Or, we could go b-back up t' yer room an'-" A pause. It seemed silly to even add the last part, but Rabbit didn't want any wires crossed in this situation. " -Be alone.
"I'm r-real happy either way." No pressure or anything. Leave these kinda decisions up to the lady.
no subject
"Get what water you need, then we can go up to my room," she had eaten enough to be satisfied. Her hand lifted, two fingers rested against Rabbit's lips for a moment, "-To be alone."
Oh my.
no subject
With a squeeze to her shoulder, Rabbit finally untangled himself from the woman's grip, moving just a little quicker than normal to get to that sink and fill his boiler up nice and full. No interruptions from a sputtering, near-empty boiler while he was working some romance with his woman.
And downing down two full glasses of water seemed to be enough, the 'bot steaming a little at his vents and unmade seams before he was turning right back to Alyss, smiling and holding out a gloved palm.
"All yours, milady." And Rabbit would absolutely be all hers today until she'd had enough of him and kicked him out.
no subject
"Let's go," oh, she could hardly ever get tired of him, but it was just so long she could stand being in her own room. After a while she'd likely suggest going out somewhere of his choice, and then whatever else the day brought.
But right now, alone time.
