The Walter 'Bot's Bedroom for
fabulae_victoriana
[OOC: A thread for all bedroom happenings and private threads for the boys and their friends/family, just to keep from royally spamming up the main comm as we already do so very well.
A semi-brief description of the room from Meygan's mind, castmates, hit me if you think otherwise:
One of the larger bedrooms in the house (considering it currently is containing five full-grown automatons and a normal human and an assortment of instruments and the like), with a large window at the back. The walls were covered in The Jon's special brand of artwork, doodles of the world in the way that he saw it, colorful swirls and unidentifiable shapes and other oddities that looked like they came straight out of his music. Looking at these artistic murals for too long tends to make visitors go just a little crazy, seeing and hearing things that weren't actually there, so it is generally advised to never stay too long! His brothers are either immune or just don't even notice the crazy anymore. Likely the second.
The floor, despite The Spine's best effort, is usually quite dirty, boots and socks and clothes and gloves and hats and hula hoops and just about everything else littered around the place. If one The Jon was messy, two was just complete chaos. There was just no taming that mess.
Currently, the six inhabitants of the room share, two ye olde Victorian-style bunk beds. The Spine and Rabbit take one, while Hatchy, the two The Jons, and Michael take the other. Hatchworth has the bottom, which leaves Michael squished between both Jons on the top bunk. No doubt they tumble headfirst out of that precarious sleeping space quite often. Luckily for The Jons', they have thick brassy heads and likely won't even awaken from the fall.
Considering they are doing their damned best to keep up with busking and their father is on the hunt to find them real venues to perform, their musical instrument selection no doubt takes up a very large amount of the free space available there.
I think I'll try to update a list inside of this thread to keep up with what they've actually managed to acquire. Nice to keep an inventory on these things!
AS FOR NOW, use this thread as you see fit. Throw whatever and whomever you like in.

...Is this a pointless post? Probably. But I'll spam the fuck out of it, so. PURPOSE SERVED.

Giggity
"Sure. What's up, Rabbit?
no subject
The copper automaton pulled the much smaller woman to a stop at his side, still holding her tiny hand within his, fingers twitching a little nervously as his copper head jerked slightly in Alyss' direction. "Ya m-met Alice officially before, haven't ya, Spine?"
no subject
"Officially, no. Usually had my hands full with The Jons when I saw her around." So now he will just be polite and Alyss will get a tip of his hat and a smile. "It's a pleasure, Miss Alice."
no subject
"Likewise, Mister The Spine," wow that name. She could guess as to why he had it, however. She had never really spoken to him before, not as she had The Jon(s).
no subject
So far, so good! Keep it up, Rabbit!
A clicking tilt of his head towards Alyss. "S-S-Spine an' me are real close. He's th' second oldest after me, so we've been t'gether f-for th' longest out o' anyone. I trust him a lot. Ya can too." Just in case. If something were to ever happen again, something like how The Spine had been abducted and nearly ripped to pieces, if Rabbit ever found himself physically unable to keep Alyss or his brothers safe... Well, he'd feel a lot better to know they stuck together.
The Spine and Alyss would easily be able to keep The Jon(s) and Hatchworth safe with their combined strengths and powers.
And a trembling turn to The Spine, legs a bit shaky and vocalizer whining just a bit more than usual. "An', S-S-SssSSSpppiiine, eeeeehhh, j-just wanted t' make shore ya knew Alice an' got all formally introduced. Cause." A pause, squeezing her hand, though that could have just been a glitch running through his system. For all his swag and smug pride and teasing, this initial meeting was making the 'bot a bit more nervous than usual. He liked Alyss. Really liked her. But if The Spine got a bad impression and didn't like her....
"Well, she's my lady so, yanno, she'll be 'round a lot m-more often."
no subject
"Yeah? Well then I'm even happier to meet her, and she's welcome around whenever she'd like." Because she is adorable and seems polite, and well Rabbit likes her and that in itself is good enough for him!
no subject
"I'll be certain to keep that in mind, Rabbit," she ment it. Alyss wasn't as overly trusting as she could come off as, just as she wasn't as harmless as she looked.
--but she did wonder, "Ah, I had been meaning to ask but-- Your hat," she gestured a little, voice softer and smile looking just a tad nervous, "I hope it was repaired correctly," Alyss just had to ask, really, "I'd only seen you wearing it, so.." not much to go on.

For all of their fighting, cattiness, and occasional jackass-ness towards each other, The Spine's opinion was too valuable to Rabbit. His words had been true, if a touch too sentimental for him usually. But Rabbit would always consider him his best friend after all they'd been together through the years, the century they'd grown up together in.
"G-great." A simple, small word, but The Spine would know the gratitude and love behind it. Expect Rabbit to be very well behaved around you for at least a week. No late night wakeup calls or staring while you sleep.
Alyss' question earned a jerky chuckle from Rabbit, that slight nervous edge to her smile making him feel like a gear had skipped a rotation or something. So he wasn't the only one anxious about this kind of thing, huh?
