Rabbit & Alyss' Bedroom (of love)

Welcome to the room of organized chaos.
Alyss and Rabbit share one of the larger rooms in the Victorian-style Walter house - being the oldest son it is obviously the robot's right to take the second-best room in the house - on the second floor, right next to Peter's room.
The room itself never looks quite as nice as depicted in the picture because Rabbit is a slightly messy individual and Alyss doesn't mind his untidiness in the slightest. Which means there is no one to really clean it. Though most of their clothes make it to be neatly hung away in the closet, there will always be at least one or two various pairs of boots and gloves left laying around, a belt here or there, and the woman's collection of stuffed animals all over.
..And really, knowing them, that chandelier probably makes as an impromptu hanger at various points as well.
There is a nice window seat for Alyss to sit in and enjoy the sunshine on days with good weather or simply to listen to Rabbit yap on forever like he does, and Lil' Bunny's cardboard box bed is perched there usually too.
Both the robot and his lady can usually be found outside of their room, enjoying the family's company or simply out on the town, but they can be caught there in the mornings or late evenings generally, unless Rabbit is being a grump and sneaking off to hide elsewhere for a few hours or Alyss has disappeared from the grounds completely to do her own thing.
Current Pet Count: Mocha Road, Lil' Bunny, TomatoSoup, Macaroni, Cheese, BananaBread, TunaMelt, Captain QuackBeard, Fuzzybuttkins, and Bob.

"W-w-what was that all about?"
Because really, despite how quickly she'd changed tunes the moment he'd stepped onto the scene, Rabbit had seen how strangely Alyss had been reacting to the man, hugging him one moment, slim fingers lacing threateningly into his clothes the next.

"I'll never forgive him," softly, but loud enough for Rabbit to hear, "Jack Vessalius.
"He was the only one to visit who ever asked to see me, to spend time with me and tell me things," she picked at one of the rabbit's ears before leaning over and sliding it under the bed, "Of course he spent time with Alice too, like everyone else. Jack would call to me, to take her place, and no one else ever did."
Then why would she think of harming him?

Serious conversations were infrequent between them, not when there was enjoyment to be had, but when those moments did pop up, Rabbit was too involved to simply brush the grimness aside, instead giving the woman his full, undivided attention. Which really spoke volumes to their relationship.
So Rabbit was there, twitching fingers settling into his lap as he watched her, trying to connect the dots of what she was saying. And not quite getting it.
"S-s-so he's a bad guy?" Just trying to understand. While her examples of him were all the opposite of that, the never being able to forgive him part was telling enough to get that through, even if he didn't get the why.

"He promised to come visit me in the Abyss, to save me from my lonliness," fingers bushed over her skirt, smoothing it over thighs, "So very kind, and patient, all so he could use me. I created a creature for him from a stuffed rabbit. Oz the B. Rabbit who had the power to severe the Chains that hold the world out of the Abyss, and I blindly did as he asked of me, because I lost myself in his words and my prison. Jack was attempting to destroy the world, because my mother was dead."
She was being as straight forward as she could manage, a frown still on her lips, "Alice knew I made Oz for him, and she could hear his screaming as Jack used him to hurt people when he failed to destroy the chains thanks to Glen Baskerville repairing them. So he came to find me, and it was my sister who was waiting for him," it was easy to fool him, a trading of dresses.
"He demanded we trade places, screaming for me to come out-- Alice took it into her own hands to stop it," Alyss had placed her fingers near her throat, "and took her own life with a pair of scissors so he couldn't get to me. I... I failed to protect my sister, and in the end she tried to protect me by taking Oz's power as her own with the lingering connection had with that world, so we could destroy my memories. I asked her to, all to try and prevent me seeking him out again when I lost myself."
Fingers curled into her hair, just near the scalp, eyes closing as she refused to let herself cry, "I failed to protect my sister because of him! He used me while I had no mind to know better than to trust him so blindly!
"It was all my fault."

Familial relations, especially those between siblings, was something the copper automaton was all too familiar with, particularly the loss of one or otherwise failing them. He'd failed his own mechanical brethren enough times in the past, more than he'd like to count, no matter how they didn't blame him for being unable to protect them in the wars or other unpleasant instances to appear during their long lives. And he'd lost his own fleshy brother due to human selfishness when his powerful core had been ripped from his chest and eventually exploded. So strangely enough, Rabbit understood that guilt far more than either of them probably expected him to.
Skinny arms were looping around Alyss when she looked about ready to cry, more emotional that he could remember ever seeing her, drawing the woman carefully to his lap, enveloping her in his tender, gentleness, limbs wrapping, lean frame leaning into, head resting on her shoulder. An affectionate puff of warm steam to her neck, just going to let her ride out the high emotion swirling within her.
Rabbit knew precisely how difficult those moments could be, being unable to control yourself or the building feelings inside.
"I g-g-get it." And he did, for the most part. "I'm real sorry 'bout yer sister, Alice, b-but it sounds like she was just tryin' t' keep ya safe. That ain't so much yer fault as it is his." Spoken with distaste and mild venom. Because Alyss was the sweetest, darlingest girl he'd ever met. How could anyone want to use her like that?
Oh. Humans. Same as the pair that had stolen his core. The same as the ones who had kidnapped his brothers and himself just to rip them to pieces and see how they worked.

"For a hundred years that was all I could remember, and she didn't remember who she was while trapped in the Abyss with me as her body was destroyed in the fire," bad things were going on that day, "Seperated, and I was only known as the Will of the Abyss as she was B. Rabbit.
"It was just before I arrived here that I remembered everything, that I got to see her again in that place we can both exist and helped her remember," because Oz had rejected her, "We couldn't protect eachother, and Jack was trying to destroy the world again."

No wonder considering how depressing it all was.

"I was going to hurt him," Alyss rested her head against Rabbit's shoulder, sighing as all of that anger and sadness just seemed to drain out of her, "After being so shocked and happy to see him, I remembered why I can't forgive him."
no subject
"Ya d-don't need t' hurt him." Despite his protectiveness and the fact he'd go to some lengths to keep those he loved safe, Rabbit was still not one to jump to violence, nor did he like to see it from anyone around him. Not when Walter's steam man band was only brought into the world to create music and make people happy.
There were exceptions, of course, but so very rare.
"Not w-when I'm 'round especially. Ya know I won't l-let him lay another hand on ya." A bit of a scowl at the memory of the man's hand upon her head, squeezing her closer. "I'll keep ya safe, Alice, from him an' everyone else."
no subject
"I am glad you walked up when you did," even if a part of her still wanted to see just how much Jack did want to be hurt, "Not sure what I would have done to him if you hadn't." Whatever it was, it wouldn't have been quick or resulted in death.
He didn't deserve death, he had been living his punishment untill his pieces had been gathered again.
no subject
"That's w-what yer Rabbit is 'round for. An' now ya got a Guard Rabbit an' a Guard Puppy t' keep ya safe an' happy!"
no subject
Fingertips brushed along the side of his face idily, "Have you decided on a name for the puppy yet?"
no subject
It was nice to have a purpose and talent outside of what he was created for.
"Shore did!" Beaming up at her, hands rested securely over her waist to keep the woman from slipping, not that she was in much danger considering, yanno, floating abilities and all.
"Mocha Road! Whatcha' think? R-r-real brilliant, huh?"
no subject
Borogove likely would, given the sort of personality the creature was developing. He would make a wonderful pet, and when the time came a loyal guardian. She simply had to make sure he remembered who all was going to be under his protection, other than herself.
"Would you like to help me take him for a walk? I'm sure he'd be able to carry your weight," what was she talking about now?
no subject
"Ehh, wh-what was that? Carry my weight?"
no subject
She was implying what he was thinking.
no subject
"Ya-ya-ya mean I can ride him? L-like a horse or a bike or somethin'? Really?" A nervous twitch of fingers against her side, cause really, it sounded like a joke, no matter how big the creature was.
"I ain't gonna hurt him?"
no subject
A little kiss to his chin-
"You can always ask him to be sure, he does understand."
no subject
There was an adventure to be had!
no subject
The borogove would of course rush to greet the both of them, bounding around from one side of the house as if the Chain truly was just a very odd and large dog.
Adventure time!
no subject
"What a good d-doggie!" Yep, a kiss to that snout, puppy. "An' we gotta n-nice name for ya too! Yer gonna be our lil' Mocha Road!" Best flippin' name in history.
no subject
Alyss was flat out amused, not at all minding being kept on his shoulder, getting a bit of a ruffly ear scritching petting in on the newly dubbed Mocha Road, "I think he likes the name."
With the way he was nuzzling Rabbit after hearing the name? She very well may have been right.
no subject
"So... j-just hop on?" A glance back to the 'dog'. "Ya gonna be okay with that, Mocha Road? Can we g-go for a ride?"
no subject
"He's a very smart and clever thing, isn't he?"
no subject
"Smarter than my old kitty c-cat even." Okay, so he hadn't actually been Rabbit's exactly, but close enough. Family had to share these things.
So Alyss was gently plopped onto that broad back before Rabbit gave the creature another tentative look. It did look sturdy and strong (not to mention giant), but it was only natural that there was a bit of hesitation there. Still, wouldn't hurt to try as long as the 'bot didn't put the entirety of his weight upon the creature, settling in behind the woman carefully, feet still planted on the ground.
