Spine is abducted, and eventually found in a completely powered down state. Partially taken apart with various parts, including some of his inner workings, removed and laid out on a table. Obviously for examining. All of this done carefully, which is very much the opposite of what is usually done.

Much more like this was done by someone who knew what they were doing, had something specific they were looking for.

This may also set in the paranoia of a certain something, oh yes.
